Classic Physique Contest Prep Vlog 9 – 15 Weeks Out (Weight Frustrations, PRs and a New Low!)

Thanks for joining me Tyler Johnston “The APE Coach” OPA / CBBF Natural Men’s Physique Competitor in my journey to competing in the new Classic Physique Division this contest season and following along my contest prep with progress updates, training footage, day in the life vlogs, nutrition tips, recipes, posing and more in my video series and blog!

Weigh-ins this week were 200lbs+ for 3 or 4 days out of the week, bringing average weight for the week up compared to last week. Frustrated with not seeing that steady progress with weight.

NO REFEED this week. Sticking to regular training day macros to help bring weight back down and improve conditioning (290g carbs, 225g protein, 60g fat)

SMASHED NEW PRs with Deadlifts and Incline Dumbbell Press!
Deadlifts – 340lbs x5, 385×5, 395×5, 425×5, 425×6!
Incline Dumbbell Press – 110lbs 3×5, 115 1×3, 115 1×8.5!
STRENGTH HIGHER THAN EVER

Finished off the week with a record low weigh-in… 197.2lbs!
Lowest of the prep so far… Looking forward to getting closer to that under 185lbs!

New Macros:
Training Days – 280g carbs, 225g protein, 60g fat
Rest Days – 260g carbs, 225g protein, 65g fat
Refeed Day – 450g carbs, 200g protein, 50g fat

Goal: drop about 1.5lbs this week.
